Nisrine El Sawda

Nisrine El Sawda was born in Beirut, Lebanon, where she was immersed in the Mediterranean climate and diet from a young age. Growing up surrounded by flatbreads and wood-fired ovens, she gained valuable knowledge and skills from her family’s Lebanese bakery, particularly from her grandmother. After moving to New Zealand and marrying Enis Bacova, who was already established in the hospitality industry, Nisrine’s focus shifted towards perfecting the art of Pizza Napoletana. Through self-teaching and dedication, she honed her craft over nearly five years before finally visiting Napoli with Enis. Today, Nisrine continues to showcase her expertise at Dante’s Pizzeria Napoletana in Takapuna.
